Electrolysis is the only proven method of permanently removing unwanted hair. It has stood the test of time. In 1875, an ophthalmologist, Dr. Charles E. Michel, invented electrolysis. He was trying to find a way to cure his patients that suffered from inverted eyelashes. He figured out that the only way to 
make hair stop growing permanently was to treat it as its source — the hair follicle. If the follicle isn’t treated at its base, where the life of the hair begins, permanence will not be achieved.
